INDIANAPOLIS—Wildfire smoke can make the air you breathe at home unhealthy. To help, Carrier is sharing some simple tips to keep your indoor air clean and safe. The smoke from these fires contains tiny, harmful particles that can easily get inside your home. Carrier suggests these steps:
- Upgrade the air filter in your air conditioner or furnace.
- Seal up any cracks around doors and windows.
- Use a portable air purifier to clean the air in a room.
“Ensuring clean indoor air is a public health priority,” said Nick Arch, VP of Residential Solutions at Carrier. “Our products are made to help keep your air clean and your family safe.”
Carrier is also helping out communities in a big way, recently donating $2.5 million in air purifiers to schools and other essential locations in Los Angeles.
