In an exciting development for students at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, Newsmatics is launching a collaborative initiative with the Faculty of Economics and Administration. Starting from the fall semester of 2026, this partnership will allow students to engage with genuine business and artificial intelligence projects. Under this program, student teams will delve into ongoing projects at Newsmatics using the company’s data and technology tools. They will have the opportunity to present their findings to Newsmatics’ leadership, with some projects possibly being implemented in real-world scenarios.
The initial projects are expected to cover areas including the assessment of marketing effectiveness, identification of potential customer bases, exploration of new markets, enhancement of sales via AI, and selection of AI tools for customer service enhancement. Students will also investigate improved communication strategies with diverse customer segments. This initiative is an expansion of Newsmatics’ existing collaboration with other faculties at Masaryk University, such as the Faculty of Informatics and Faculty of Social Studies, where past projects have involved software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science. Some students from these previous collaborations have subsequently pursued professional roles with Newsmatics.
Newsmatics is also committed to integrating its employees into the academic setting as part of this new partnership. These employees will contribute to classroom activities by sharing their expertise in AI, global news monitoring, and media technology product development, thereby enriching the educational experience with real-world insights. The program aims to provide a pathway for students to secure paid internships, part-time positions, thesis projects based on company assignments, and potentially, employment with Newsmatics post-graduation.
David Rothstein, CEO of Newsmatics, emphasized that this partnership is designed to enable students to apply their ideas to practical business challenges, providing them with valuable experience in translating classroom concepts into real-world applications. Through this initiative, students will not only gain hands-on experience but also understand how their academic learning can be applied beyond the confines of the university.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Newsmatics specializes in news technology, focusing on the discovery, distribution, monitoring, and analysis of information. Its suite of products includes EIN Presswire, Newsmatics News Index, Affinity Group Publishing, and Perspectify, all of which contribute to the company’s global reach and influence in the media technology landscape.
